Letter Forms Project

The first board I inked was the most challenging but I actually found the inking process quite meditative. My hand was much steadier by the last board. The actual cutting process of the boards was by far the most difficult aspect of this prospect for me. It was very tedious and a bit maddening for a perfectionist like myself. I'm sure the more practice I get, the easier it will come. Boards prepped to transfer letter forms. Transferred letter forms. Finished inked boards.

Fontstruct Frankenstein Font

After playing around a bit in Fontstruct I made a bat shape by accident and decided to base my letters around bats for halloween. As a play on the famous typeface Blackletter I've called my creation "Batletter."
